Job Title: Site Supervisor
Academic Qualification: DAE (Civil / Architectural), Intermediate with Technical Certification, or any relevant field
Experience: 2 to 5 Years (or less for fast-learning, motivated candidates)
Job Purpose
To monitor ground-level site operations, ensuring basic tasks are carried out as per daily work plans, safety protocols, and standard quality rules. The role coordinates directly with laborers, masons, and material suppliers for smooth day-to-day execution.
Key Accountability Areas
- Site Operations
- Monitor day-to-day labor and trade activities to ensure alignment with immediate project schedules and task assignments.
- Ensure ground-level compliance with basic quality, site safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Verify that standard construction materials and tools are available on-site and utilized efficiently without waste.
- Coordination and Communication
- Coordinate directly with the Site Engineer, sub-contractors, and sub-vendors to handle daily execution tasks.
- Provide timely updates on workforce presence, daily challenges, and material shortages to the project team.
- Support smooth coordination between different labor teams working on the floor.
- Progress Monitoring
- Track daily work progress against the assigned checklist and report any delays.
- Help execute immediate corrective actions on-site to keep the daily schedule on track.
- Maintain simple, accurate daily logs of labor attendance, material deliveries, and completed work.
- Technical Support
- Interpret standard technical drawings, basic floor plans, and basic layout instructions.
- Provide clear, practical guidance to masons, painters, and site laborers.
- Assist in troubleshooting minor on-site problems and escalate larger issues to the Site Engineer.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare and update daily site registers, material receipt notes, and labor logs.
- Ensure site paperwork is kept orderly and submitted to management for basic project tracking.
Role Accountability
- HR Proficiency: Ability to learn and obtain updated practical and technical site execution skills.
- Delivery: Perform the planned daily tasks to meet execution schedules. Handle site materials and labor effectively to keep costs down and complete targets on time. Report daily progress updates highlighting any unfinished tasks.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve basic labor disputes or on-site execution hitches and immediately escalate complex issues.
- Quality: Check ongoing work to ensure structural and finishing elements meet standard company specifications.
- Business Process Improvements: Follow established written site procedures, check sheets, and utilize digital/mobile tools for daily reporting where applicable.
- Compliance: Comply with corporate rules, site-specific policies, and project manager instructions.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Strictly enforce the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) among labor, ensure clean and hazard-free site conditions, and follow all safety controls to protect the workforce.
